Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads. A little mild, diluted soap is fine, just wipe and dry immediately.
All pieces are sealed for light moisture but not fully waterproof. Do not soak or submerge, and avoid leaving them in pooled water. Dry any moisture promptly to protect the finish.
Heat & Candle Safety
Jesmonite can warm slightly with heat but does not tolerate high temperatures.
When using candles on or near your pieces, ensure they are placed in appropriate holders and never directly on the surface.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Food & Liquids
Jesmonite is not food-safe.
Do not serve or place food directly on any trays, bowls, or decorative pieces.
Coasters are suitable for cups and glassware, but wipe any spills promptly.
Air Bubbles & Variations
Jesmonite naturally forms small air bubbles, slight variations, and unique patterns during the curing process. These are not faults but a hallmark of handcrafted pieces, making every item one of a kind.
Staining & Pigments
Strongly pigmented liquids like coffee, wine, makeup, oils, and perfumes may leave marks if left to sit.
Wipe spills quickly to prevent staining.
Avoid dragging metal objects or rough items across the surface to prevent scratches.
Placement Tips
Keep pieces away from prolonged direct sunlight to prevent potential fading.
Use felt pads on the bottom if placing on delicate surfaces (many pieces already come with these fitted).
